2. Purchase of School Uniform and Textbooks
Information related to wearing of school uniform in Commonwealth Secondary School:
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: Full school uniform (shirt/blouse with shorts/skirt)
Tuesday and Friday:Smart casual attire (blue polo t-shirt with school shorts/skirt)
Recommended number of sets of school uniform to purchase:
Full school uniform – 2 sets with 1 tie
PE attire – 2 sets
Blue Polo t-shirt – 1 set
Purchase of school uniform and textbooks can be done conveniently online. You will need to create an account in our vendor’s website if you are not an existing user.

3. Reporting Details on 1st Day of School in 2022
Students have to be in the school by 7.25am on 4 Jan 2022, in full school uniform (without tie). They will proceed to the Champions’ Hall directly. Our student councillors will guide your child. Due to safe management measures, parents/guardians will not be allowed into the school premise, except for vehicle drop off at the foyer.
4. Orientation Camp
Students will be attending a 4-day orientation day camp from 4 Jan to 7 Jan 2022. Please refer to the orientation programme as attached.
Students have to be in the school by 7.25am on 4 Jan 2022, in full school uniform (without tie). They will proceed to the Champions’ Hall directly. Our student councillors will guide your child. 9. Financial Assistance Schemes (FAS)
MOE FAS
Singapore Citizen students in financial need can get assistance from MOE on school fees and other expenses if their household per capital income (PCI) is $690 or less. Please refer to https://www.moe.gov.sg/financial-matters/financial-assistance for more information and to download the application form. The application for MOE FAS must be submitted to the school in person by 29 Dec 2021.
School Based FAS
Singapore Citizen students whose household PCI are higher than $690 but less than or equal to $1,000 ($690 < PCI ≤ $1,000) will be considered for the school-based FAS. Students may use the MOE FAS application form to apply.
Students who are approved under the MOE or school based FAS need not purchase their school uniforms and textbooks online. The school will get in touch with them on the collection of these items.
10. National Digital Literacy Programme
The National Digital Literacy Programme was launched in March 2020 to help students strengthen their digital literacy. Please refer to the attached information on this programme.

11. Health Promotion Board’s School-based Health and Dental programmes
Each year, the Health Promotion Board’s team will visit the school to conduct health screening, immunisation and dental services for your child. Please refer to the attached letter on the required parental consent to enrol your child for the health & dental Services.

13. School Transfer Procedures
Students posted into CWSS but wish to transfer out to other school due to medical reasons
For students who wish to appeal for transfer to other schools due to medical reasons, please report to our school’s General Office by 23 Dec 2021, 12 noon and we will assist you. You are required to bring the supporting medical documents. For further clarifications, please contact the school’s General Office at 6560-6866.
Students posted to other schools but wish to transfer into Commonwealth Sec School (CWSS)
For appeals into CWSS other than medical reason, please note that students are required to meet the course’s cut off point (COP) of the school before they can be considered for transfer.
Please submit the appeal form https://go.gov.sg/s1-2022-posting-appeal-form-apply-to-transfer-to-commonwealth-sec to us by 28 Dec 2021, 12 noon.
